Refund Policy

A note about refunds

Hi. I'm Rebecca Scarberry. I want every customer to feel certain about what they are buying from me before they buy it. That is why I keep extensive previews, free samples, and detailed product descriptions on this site. The free Get Your First Press Hit checklist is a real piece of my work, written in the same voice and the same care that goes into everything I sell. Read it. If it resonates, the rest of my work will too.

This page explains my refund policies for the three kinds of things I sell: digital products, physical products, and consulting services.

If something is wrong with your order, or if you have any question that this page does not answer, please email me directly at hello@rebeccascarberry.com. I read every message and I respond within 24 hours on business days.

Digital products

This includes The Press Playbook System, From Scratch (when released), From Zero to Open (when released), and any other downloadable book, guide, template, or training I offer.

All sales final

Digital products are non-refundable. Once you have access to the download, the sale is final. I cannot un-deliver a file once you have it.

Why this policy exists

Digital products are different from physical goods. There is no inventory to restock, no item to ship back, and no way for me to verify whether you have already used the material. To keep prices fair for everyone, I do not offer refunds on digital products.

What I will always do

If something is wrong with your download, I will fix it within 24 hours at no cost to you. This includes:

  • The download link did not work
  • The file is corrupted or will not open
  • You did not receive your confirmation email
  • The file you received is the wrong file
  • You cannot access the product for any technical reason on my end

Email hello@rebeccascarberry.com with your order number and a description of the issue, and I will make it right.

Before you buy

Please:

  • Download the free Get Your First Press Hit checklist first to make sure my work resonates with you
  • Read the full product description on the shop page
  • Look at the table of contents and sample pages provided
  • Email me at hello@rebeccascarberry.com if you have any question before you buy

I would much rather answer your question before you buy than disappoint you after.

Physical products

This includes original artwork, prints, framed pieces, canvas pieces, and any merchandise produced by my fulfillment partners and shipped to you.

Damaged or defective items

If your item arrives damaged or defective, I will replace it at no cost to you. Please email hello@rebeccascarberry.com within 7 days of receipt with:

  • Your order number
  • A photo of the damage or defect
  • A photo of the packaging if the damage occurred in shipping

I will arrange a replacement and you will not need to return the damaged piece.

Wrong item shipped

If I sent you the wrong item, email me within 7 days and I will ship the correct one at no cost. You may keep the incorrect item or I will provide a prepaid return label, at your choice.

Lost in shipping

If a tracking number shows your package was delivered but you did not receive it, please first check with neighbors and your local post office. If the package cannot be found after a reasonable search, email me and I will work with the carrier to investigate. In most cases, I will replace the item at my cost.

Change of mind

Because each piece of artwork is printed on demand specifically for you, I am not able to accept change-of-mind returns or exchanges. Please review the size, color preview, and product description carefully before you buy.

How to know the size before you order

Every product page shows real-world scale references and a true-to-print color preview. If you are unsure whether a size will work for your space, email hello@rebeccascarberry.com before you order. I am glad to help.

Consulting and services

This includes one-hour consulting sessions, multi-session packages, and any other coaching or services I offer.

Non-refundable once booked

Once a consulting session is scheduled and confirmed, the fee is non-refundable. This protects my time, which I have set aside specifically for you.

Rescheduling

You may reschedule a session at no charge with at least 24 hours notice. Email hello@rebeccascarberry.com to reschedule.

Within 24 hours of your session

Rescheduling within 24 hours of your scheduled session is at my discretion. I will do my best to accommodate genuine emergencies. Frequent last-minute reschedules may result in forfeiture of the session at my discretion.

No-shows

If you do not show up for a scheduled session and have not rescheduled with appropriate notice, the session is forfeited and no refund will be issued. I will reach out once to check in, and if I do not hear from you, the session is closed.

What I deliver in every session

I will give you my best thinking, real experience, and honest counsel. I cannot guarantee press coverage, sales, or any other specific outcome. Your results depend on your effort, your work, and many factors outside my control. The session itself is the product. What you do with it is yours.

Please include:

  • Your name
  • The order number or session date
  • A clear description of the situation
  • Photos if applicable (damaged items, file errors, etc.)

I read every message and respond within 24 hours on business days. I am one person, not a help desk, and I will treat your message the way I would want to be treated.

Changes to this policy

I may update this Refund Policy from time to time as my product line grows. When I do, I will update the effective date at the top of this page. Changes apply to purchases made after the change. If you bought before a change, the policy in effect on the date of your purchase still applies to your order.
